Contains many pamphlets, 1911-1919, from the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture and other sources about raising sheep. Also contains a pamphlet written by Lockwood and entitled: Registered Cheviot Sheep: Why Breed Cheviot Sheep? Includes a printed poster from W.B. Kendall warning that he authorizes any person to shoot dogs chasing or attacking sheep, a bar of lanolin soap made at Arrowhead Farm, and a history of Dimon Lockwood written by his daughter, Nancy L. Owen, in 1989.

Lockwood was a farmer and educator in the Boxford/Topsfield, Mass. area and owned Arrowhead Farm where he raised Shropshire sheep, poultry and various crops. Through his association with Wilfred Wheeler, secretary and then commissioner of the Mass. Dept. of Agriculture, Lockwood was called upon to answer questions about sheep husbandry and to offer his opinions about the needs of local sheep farmers.
